Wall and Window Glazing
One of the major ways that buildings lose heat is through poorly insulated houses. Insulation can be defined as something that reduce heat loss or transfer of heat. Insulation can save money on heating and electrical bills and help conquer the problem of global warming.
Walls in a building can be insulated by "glazing" your walls. This means that a separate wooden wall is added in front or at the back of the existing wall. This leaves a small gap between the two walls and helps insulating homes because the thermal equilibrium inside the house only occurs to the board inside the house and the air between the two boards helps reduce convection thorough the gases between the outside and the inside of buildings. A similarly related technology is double glazing windows, which relies on the same theory of glazing walls, except that the wooden boards are replaced with glass.
