What can we do?

History has demonstrated that misuse of alcohol can  destroy careers, families, relationships, businesses and education. Teens should be made to understand the dangers and consequences of alcohol abuse through educational programs. The program should give the teen the knowledge they need to make more informed decisions and to make the right choice when it comes to alcohol use. The program should be community based to foster positive outcome. This may also reduce the number of youth that get addicted.

As we all know, everyone has to make their own decisions so we can’t just make teens chose right, however we can make them more aware of there decisions. The decisions that teens make at this stage in their life can effect, ruin, or even kill them.

A common cause of teen death is alcohol related teen suicide. Alcohol can be addictive and causes alcoholism which causes liver failure. Usually alcoholics trace their drinking habits back to when they were teens.
