Hypothesis
I hypothesized that there would be differences because bacteria mutate their DNA in order to respond to changes in their surroundings.
I also hypothesized that the bacteria from colder, dryer climates would have more genetic differences than those from warm, humid climates. This is because Xap grows best under conditions of high humidity, high rainfall and temperatures around 28°C. Therefore the bacteria growing in colder, dryer climates would have to change more in order to survive.
