Conclusions

The following conclusion can be drawn from the present study:

  • Canadian and US isolates had highest variability in pathogenicity whereas Israeli and Syrian isolates were similar.

  • Syrian isolates were also very similar base on SSR banding patterns whereas others were more diverse.

  • Overall, there was no strong correlation between pathogenicity and SSR banding patterns.

  • More isolates from each country need to be tested to confirm this.
