The following are the materials needed in order to complete this experiment:

-3 aquariums (one for each plant) or 1 aquarium (1 for all 3 plants) or clear 6 plastic bags (3 for green roof, 3 spare),                 

       one big clear plastic bag for when the regular bag cannot hold the bean plant

-3 pots (preferably of the same size)

-3 packs of 3 different types of plants (chives, mint leaves, and bean plant seeds)

-1 heat lamp

-1 thermometer

-a bag of soil (enough to fill 3 pots with 4/5 of soil each)

-a tablespoon

-280ml of water (40ml for every other day)

-30 cm ruler or meter stick

-1000g scale (for measuring the soil samples)

-1 measuring cup

- 1L cup or bowl for the carbon dioxide mixture

- carbon dioxide mixture (3 tsp of baking soda and 100 ml of white vinegar added every other day)

- a wooden board big enough for 3 pots and a heat lamp (only if use plastic bags)
