What I have shown in my science fair project is that an electric car can be simple and inexpensive but if you want to have the things we normally have in our normal cars, we would have to make the car as complicated and requires much more energy. If we want to get from one place to another while using the least amount of energy, the electric car is the best choice for places where it doesn’t get very cold.

For people in Canada, the best solution for electric cars is the Hybrid electric car like the Toyota Prius. It can take people anywhere, using very little gasoline and do it very comfortably. It can operate in –40 degree Celsius temperatures. The major benefit of this type of car is that it recovers energy when the brakes are used and stores that energy into the batteries.

Its too bad the pure electric car can’t work in Canada all year round, but as soon as it gets warm, the electric car can be taken out. You would save on energy costs and help the environment by not polluting the atmosphere.
