Introduction
Welcome to my website. This year, I have decided to do my science project on fuel cells. They are a source of renewable energy, just like power or hydroelectric power. In order to work, all they need is hydrogen and oxygen. In turn, they are able to give off energy. The only by-products of the chemical reaction occurring within the fuel cell are clean non-toxic water, and small amounts of heat. The potential for this form of energy is endless. Automobile manufacturers are making fuel cell powered cars as we speak, and will most likely begun to have been distributed in the next decade. Also, different companies, such as Ballard which is set up in Vancouver, have begun to see whether they can actually use fuel cells to heat houses. It is exciting to think about how fuel cells could make us so much less dependent. In order to do my part, I have decided to do a set of experiments involving fuel cells in order to make them more efficient. I hope to add to the knowledge base of this form of energy. Enjoy!

Flash
I made this flash animation to try and help people understand how a fuel cell works, and how it uses its fuel of hydrogen...
