The goal of my project is to build a turbine that will be able to harness the energy of a simulated ocean current to power a light bulb. I will build a miniature electromagnetic generator and attach rotor blades that will be able to spin the magnets when the current passes through them. The wires that I will wrap around the generator will be able to capture the current created by the spinning magnets, and transport the electrons to a 1.5 volt 25mAmp light bulb. The light bulb will use the energy of the moving electrons to create heat, and finally, light.
