With further research and improvements, Jatropha oil could become a viable alternative to conventionally used fuels like diesel, which are harmful to the environment. The research completed during this experiment, can go a long way towards preparing Jatropha oil for everyday use. This is because, all biofuels struggle to meet quality standards required and/or suggested by the European Union, other governments and organizations. The addition of IRGASTAB BD 100, could give Jatropha an edge over other biofuels like palm biodiesel. The results from this experiment are of interest to a company based in Mississauga (Kimminic Corporation), which is involved in developing Jatropha biofuel.
