Preparation for the Experiment   

  Different chemicals used throughout the experiment.

  Boiling water to prepare the 1% starch solution.

 

  Weighing the soluble starch over an electronic scale.

 

  Mixing the 15% potassium iodide solution.

 

Oxidation of the Jatropha Oil

  Weighing 1g of TBHQ over an electronic scale.

 

  Adding 0.5g of IRGASTAB BD 100 to the oil.

 

  Preparing the 10% IRGASTAB BD 100 solution in a fume hood.

 

  Heating the TBHQ and Jatropha Oil solutions over a hotplate.

Weighing the calcium chloride over an electronic scale.
