Independent:

The outcome of the results in our survey allowing us to see what form of cyber bullying is most frequently used and which gender is more likely to be bullied between urban and rural areas.

Dependent:

The various answers on the surveys would change depending on how much that volunteer is bullied or bullies others and how much they are willing to tell.

Controlled:

~Each volunteer was given same survey in a classroom environment

~All results averaged using same methods

~Only students in grades 7 to 12 were given the survey

~Same amount of boy/girl ratio of students from urban and rural areas
