DESCRIPTION

The black-footed ferret is covered in light yellowish-brown fur with black markings. It has black feet and its tail tip is also black. It has a black face mask. Its belly fur is pale creamy yellow.  In the winter, the ferret is a lighter color than it is in the summer.  It is 45 cm long with a furry 15 cm tail.  That means the ferret is as long as two footballs!  It weighs 1 kg.  Its special body parts are its sharp teeth, claws, skinny body, and short powerful legs.  It looks like a weasel. It can live up to 12 years in the wild.
