  • The colours of the cans did affect the amount of light absorbed and reflected.
  • White, the lightest colour showed minimal change in temperature of water, thus indicating that this colour does not absorb any heat but reflects all of it.
  • Black, the darkest colour showed a maximum raise in the water temperature, indicating that there was maximum absorption of  heat by this colour.

This proves my hypothesis that the amount of absorption and reflection of light depends on colours.
