Wolf Spider

The wolf spider got its name because it hunts its prey like a wild dog. The female grows to 35mm and the male to 20mm. They can be grey or brown.

The Australian wolf spider can have a deadly bite but the American wolf spider is harmless. The habitat of the wolf spider is all over Australia and America. they live in farms, woodlands, forests and even near water. They also dig burrows 25cm.

Their favourite habitats are sand mix and and clay. The wolf spiders' main enemy is man and the spider hunting wasp. The wolf spider eat crickets, ants, grasshoppers, and even lizards, mice and tiny birds! wolf spider is not a aggressive spider. If the Australian wolf spider is threatened it will it will give you a painful bite. it can cause skin lesions to some people. No human has died from the Australian wolf spiders bite.
