Next Project

Since I have been studying Spiders I have found an interest in the Solar System.

I think this will be my next project!

Black House Spider

The Black house spider is found in most of Australia and sometimes in New Zealand.

The habitat of this spider is rocks, tree bark, sheds, cracks and window corners. The female spider is up to 18mm long and the male is smaller, only 9mm.

The spiders head or Thorax is black and shiny, the eyes are in two rows of four. The black house spider likes eating other spiders or insects.

The venom of the black house spider is poisonous but will not kill you. They do not usually bite but might do if you try to move their webs.
