Sources of ErrorErrors within samples include air bubbles and warping in composite materials. Human error, such as counting the number of bends, measurements, and consistency in force when bending, exist. Our experimental design also presents uncertainties; especially in the bending tests, a sample might fracture after a 45 degree bend instead of 90 degrees. Nonetheless, the control's tensile and flexural values agree with ASTM values. A comparison of our experimental values for tensile modulus and maximum bending stress with standard ASTM values: |
