CONCLUSION

It is up to individual ethics and opinions whether GMFs should be an accepted part of the North American society. Scientists have yet to unearth every scientific fact and question surrounding this engineering process. That being said, there may be other health risks or even benefits that we are unaware of.

In Canada, corn, soya beans, and canola are the most widely grown crops using genetically enhanced methods. However, Canadian farmers are reconsidering marketing these transgenic crops as it is banned in some countries, such as Japan. Nonetheless, with more and more research being done, scientists will gain further insight into this controversial matter, that will hopefully answer all these questions.
