•  The purpose of my project was to determent the contents of corncob ash in solid and liquid form. The ash was analyzed using Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP) and photographs were taken using scanning electron microscope. Qualitative elemental and quantitative analysis were also performed in the laboratory.
• The fire retardant capacity of corncob ash was compared with Sodium Bicarbonate (NaHCO₃) which is the commercial fire extinguisher powder.
