Fuselage

1.    Fabricated two copies of the fuselage side frame, using 1/8x1/8 inch balsa strip and the model fuselage plan

2.    Assembled the two side frames of the fuselage together by gluing the balsa cross-members in place.

3.    Installed balsa platforms for attaching the vertical and horizontal tails

4.    Mounted the motor in a balsa block and installed it in the fuselage nose, with 5 degrees of down thrust-line tilt and 2 degrees of right tilt.                                                                                                           

5.    Glued the elevator and rudder servos in place and connected them to the receiver which was placed loosely inside the fuselage

6.    Made the undercarriage and tail skid from piano wire.  Installed the wheels, wheel bearings and hub retainers

7.    Glued the undercarriage and tail skid in place.

8.    ironed adhesive mylar covering onto the fuselage frame
