The following is a description of the experimental results. There were two additional trials of the experiment to try to repeat the results of the first trial. The results of the first trial showed that the control had a greater increase in temperature than that of the magnified solar oven (see the Comparison of Change in Temperature graph). The control showed an increase in temperature of 34.5 °C starting with the temperature of 17.0 °C. However, the magnified solar oven showed an increase in temperature of only 24.3 °C and started with the temperature of 17.3 °C. Additionally, the water lens showed an increase in temperature from 17.0 to 31.4 °C. |

In the second trial, the experimental conditions were the same (see Experimental Conditions Page for weather observations). The control had a greater increase in temperature than that of a magnified solar oven (again, see the Comparison of Change in Temperature graph). The increase in temperature for the control was 37.8° C starting with the temperature of 16.1° C, and the magnified solar oven showed an increase in temperature of only 26.1° C starting with the temperature of 16.6° C. In this trial, the water lens showed an increase in temperature from 14.3 to 32.0° C. |

The results of the third trial showed that the control had a more significant change in temperature than the temperature of the magnified solar oven ( see the Comparison of Change in Temperature graph). The temperature increase for the control was 30.8, while the temperature increase for the magnified solar oven was 20.2. Also, the water lens for the magnified solar oven showed an increase in temperature from 14.3 to 34.7 °C. In summary, the average temperature increase for the magnified solar oven was 23.5°C while the average increase for the standard solar oven was 34.4 °C. Finally, the total average increase in temperature for the water lens was 17.5°C.
