 Summary of my project:

Solar heating your household hot water.  How much would it cost you to have a collector system installed? How long would it take you to pay that off?  What is the environmental cost of using natural gas? How much better or worse would solar be?   What’s the point of carbon credits?  These are the types of questions I explore in my site.

Where the idea came from:

My Aunt Christa Mascher was at a home show where Sedmek Inc. had a booth.  She got the idea of using your summer natural gas bills to find out the cost of heating water and mentioned it to me.  It sounded like a very intriguing idea, so I used that as a starting point and built my project off of it.
