Initial Observation and Hypothesis

 

 

Pendulums usually surround us, but we do not always notice them. It is even less often that we observe their oscillations. You can find the pendulums around you and observe them. A pendulum can be made easily.

 

My brief observations (see the posted video clips) allowed me to make the following hypothesis:

 

1.    The time-period in which pendulum oscillates does not depend on the angle of revolution if the angle is small enough.

2.    The time-period in which the pendulum oscillates does not depend on the mass of the load.

3.    The time-period in which the pendulum oscillates increases as the length of the pendulum decreases.
