Observations-
After I plugged in the wires, I saw that the water had started bubbling in less than a minute. After I unplugged it and added oil sands to it. During the experiment, I saw that the water gave no sign of boiling out of the bowl. The steam had started rising at a slow rate but it was working. In addition, I saw that the water had reached 90 degrees Celsius in less than a minute. Even after 90 degrees, it kept rising but progress was a little slow. But, in another minute I saw that the water had reached the boiling point (100 degrees Celsius) and steam was rising very fast. The oil sands were keeping so much to themselves that it seemed no oil was rising on top. But it was. When I had unplugged my experiment and shuffled the oil sands at the bottom. I saw that a lot of sand that was once surrounded by bitumen molecules was now a dark muddy colour. Furthermore, when I stirred up even more, I saw that more oil floated to the top.
