A Look at Global Warming
Global warming is the increase of the average temperature (Global Warming, 2001). This increase of the average happens due to emissions of carbon dioxide going into the atmosphere. This can be either a good thing, or a bad thing. It can be good for it helps in places where it is too cold to have crops. It can also be bad because sea levels can rise which can flood various areas and change ecosystems, which means certain species will not be able to survive. Other negative effects of global warming are hurricanes, heat waves, droughts, tornadoes. Most likely, the most unfortunate effect is ozone depletion.

The ozone layer is essential for humans because it serves as a protection from the ultra violet radiation of the sun (Global Warming, 2001). Ozone layer can encourage smog and irritate lung tissue .Ultraviolet radiation damages skin, which can lead to skin cancer. It could damage the immune system, the eyes, slow down growth, lower protection from and diseases, and it could alter genes (The Antarctic Survey Team Confirms Ozone Depletion, 1994). If too much carbon dioxide is emitted into the atmosphere, life threatening weather will be in the forecast (Great Scientific Achievements, 1994).
