Purpose
The purpose of my project is to evaluate the effectiveness of various ice melting products. I will evaluate these products on the following characteristics:
• The speed at which they will melt ice and snow as simulated by the melting of an ice cube
• Their impact on cars as simulated by the strips of unpainted and painted steel and rubber washers
• Their impact on the environment as simulated by the bean plants
• Their cost per kilogram
