Characteristic

The molecular formula is C₂H₅OH.  

Bioethanol is obtained fromnatural resource not from oil refining.

Hydrous bioethanol (95% purity) is used as pure alcohol fuel.

Anhydrous bioethanol (99.5% purity) is used for blending with gasoline.

It can increase the octane if it is blended with gasoline.

The physical characteristics is clear colourless liquid. 

The chemical characteristics are biodegradable, low toxicity and low environmental pollution.
