Hypothesis
We believe that Nordihydroguaiaretic Acid (NDGA) causes excess hepatotoxicty (hepatotoxicty) than normally occurs in the body. From our research we think that a compound created during the natural breakdown process of NDGA in the liver causes these adverse affects. The number of cells that will be affected by this breakdown chemical will increase dramatically with higher doses. If the time which the cells would be exposed to the NDGA was increase, the number of dead liver cells would also increase.
