why my time?

Alternative energy: Any source of energy that somehow differs from the old system: the one which produces GHGs and is dependant on foreign oil (Corzine, 2007).
Cellulose: The most common form of bio-mass on the planet, found in almost all plants. It is made up of long strings of glucose molecules, usually a thousand or more. It is essential in producing cellulosic ethanol (Cellulose, 2007).
E85: A fuel made up of 85% ethanol and 15% some other fuel (usually a fossil fuel) (Purty, 2007).
Fossil Fuels: Flammable fuels which power much of the world’s energy intake. When burned, they produce carbon and sometimes other harmful gases (Copp, 2007)
Global warming: The scientific theory that the earth is getting warmer (Global warming, 2007).
Octane rating: A rating that is designated to all compounds. The higher the octane rating, the more flammable something is (Octane number, 2007).
Ozone layer: The layer of the atmosphere which protects up from the sun’s harmful wavelengths of U.V. rays (Ozonosphere, 2007).
PTO: The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. They are in charge of looking at filed patents and trademarks and deciding which ones to grant (United States Patent and Trademark Office, 2007)
Shell: Royal Dutch Shell, a company which sells fuel (Royal Dutch Shell, 2007).
Starch: Materials like corn, wheat, sorghum, etc… It is a common form of bio-mass made up of long strings of sugar molecules. It is essential in making starch ethanol (Starch, 2007).
U.V. Rays: Rays which the sun directs at us which warm the Earth. Too much exposure of the skin can cause sunburn. The wrong wavelengths, or the ones blocked by the ozone layer, harm the Earth (Ultraviolet radiation, 2007).
Wood chips: Small irregular shaped pieces of wood.
