"Ethanol is the Fuel of the Future."

Henry Ford, 1914

Project Title Ethanol - Making Peace with Nature
Abstract

"God has given the Earth to Man, who must use it with respect for the original good purpose for which it was given to him."

His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI

This experiment explores the hypothesis that ethanol is a low-cost environmentally friendly alternative to petroleum-based fuels. The Laws of Thermodynamics have been used to:

  • Explore the relationship amongst different forms of energy in our environment.
  • Describe quantitatively, how energy changes form.
  • Address the environmentally friendly nature of ethanol as a fuel.
