Below is the apparatus (list of items) for my experiment. All the items are not too hard to find, so finding the items wasn't a big problem for me.

· 2 liter bowl
· Tap water
· Measuring cup
· Scissors
· String
· Ruler/ long stick 12-15 in.
· Paper clip
· Tape (any kind)
· Black pepper
· Wooden spoon w/ long handle

*The black pepper is gently sprinkled over the water to make it easier to see the movement and speed of the water. Though after 20 or so seconds of not stirring, the black pepper will sink to the bottom of the bowl. So it is a good idea to give the water a good turn every few seconds after the initial stirring.

Here is a picture of the apparatus. You may think the water and tape are missing, but the water is in the bowl and the tape is connecting the string and stick. Put your mouse over it for a brief discription. Click on it to see a bigger version.
