Genomic DNA was isolated from putative transgenic plants. PCR analysis showed that 9 out of 10 putative transgenic lines with pDW6 contain the CTB-IL-13 gene and all the 10 lines with pDW7 have the IL-13 gene (Fig. 4). This result shows that the plants are true transgenics. Logically, the next step is the detect the expression of the transgene.
