Ideas for Further Experimentation
1. Develop a better earthquake machine which gives more reproducible results.
2. Use larger springs to maximize the weight capacity on the earthquake machine.
3. Try different types of modifications: the tuned mass damper, the liquid mass damper or a pendulum.
4. Conduct further experiments with the marble base isolator and build a scale model of a base isolator that may someday be used in real buildings.
