Conclusion:
- Increased salt concentration in A. thaliana plants causes poor growth
as predicted.
- Under very low concentrations (25 mM) there seems to be better plant
growth, suggesting that this is the optimum salt concentration for plant
growth.
- There appears to be correlations between:
- Better growth of plants under low salt stress and ethylene overproduction
- Abscisic acid, brassinosteroids and auxin appear to interact with
ethylene
- Brassinosteroids seem to have an inverse relationship with ethylene,
however further
- studies need to be carried out.
