Analysis continued... Fresh and Dry Weight
- Generally the dry and fresh weights of the plants are significantly lower
in high salt concentrations, however the plants in 25 mM have a higher mass
- Dry weights of the plants from 0mM and 25mM of ethylene overproducer
are significantly higher ->ethylene may play a role in the cause
of this phenomenon
- Dry weight is highest in the BR overproducing under higher salt concentrations
-> this mutation is probably good for the development of salt tolerant
plants
- Ethylene insensitivity appears to cause plants to have higher dry and
fresh weights.
- ABA deficiency causes 75 mM plants to have higher dry weight than 50mM
-> ABA deficiency could lead to more salt tolerant plants
- Auxin resistance seems to cause a steady decline in the dry weight ->
auxin may play a role in salt tolerance but its role cannot be determined
based on the data
