Blood is a vital part of our life. It enables other organs of our body to get the oxygen and nutrients that they need to survive. We cannot keep warm, cool off, fight infections and cannot get rid of our own waste products without blood. How does blood do theses things, how is it made and what is in it, is what this project is trying to answer. (Wikipedia Contributors, 2006; 2006; Ho, W., & Dowshen, S., October 2004.). In the body, blood transports oxygen and nutrients to body tissues and to remove waste. (Page, 1981; Wikipedia Contributors, 2006; World book, 2001) These actions keep you alive. Blood also fights viruses and diseases and help heal a cut. (Page, 1981; Wikipedia, "Blood", 2006; World, 2001). This project focuses on importance of blood in the human body and what disorders arise.
