How Can We Get Rid of Armpit Odor (BO)?

Getting rid of armpit odor is simple. The common practice is to shower daily, twice daily if the BO is really bad, and apply deodorant or anti-perspirant. However, the challenge is how to make the deodorant/antiperspirant last longer without producing body odor or causing an embarrassing situation, young or old. Not to mention the scare of cancer causing agents used in the commercial anti-perspirant by blocking the pores. Although the Journal of National Cancer Institute does not support this rumor of hypothesis(ref.4), it has raised some concerns to those who have heard or read it, including ourselves.

Anti-Perspirant Ingredients Analyzed

We discovered that the ingredient Aluminum Zirconium Tetrahydrochlorohydrex Glycine is present in most, if not all, anti-perspirants (ref.6). The amount of Aluminum Zirconium Tetrahydrochlorohydrex Glycine in most antiperspirants range from 18.3% to 25%. In addition, they contain Butane, Ethanol, Acohol and EDTA among other chemicals (ref.6). For example, Secret, Soft & Dry, Gillette, Old Spice, Dial, Right Guard, Lady Speed Stick, Teen Spirit, Dry Idea, just to name a few.

To Stink or not to Stink

The body requires to regulate its temperature. It does, through the millions of glands distributed all over our body. Unfortunately, the scent glands, or the apocrine glands that produces the fatty materials, are mainly located in the armpit and genital area. The reason why the armpit smells is because the sweat is not able to dry out as quickly and the bacteria harbor in this humid area and feeds on the fatty substance excreted by the apocrine glands and the acid called 2-methyl-3-hexenoic is created - thus, the BO scent (ref. 1,6,7).

Therefore, if the idea of using Anti-Perspirant is not appealing, try our invention 'B0-Buster' and be BO-free and save money.
