If you dispose of waste into the ocean, you are making it worse for the whole underwater food chain. Basically, Pacific salmon are disappearing because of human waste.
Cruise ships, motorboats, and recreation have been polluting the Pacific Ocean, and threatening the survival of Pacific salmon since 1991. No one is doing anything about it. Human activities which create waste and pollution have been another major reason for the disappearing salmon.
