Types of Skin Cancer
There are three main types of skin cancer. One of the types, which is called malignant melanoma is the most dangerous but is the least common. The two others which are basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma are more common than malignant melanoma and can both be disfiguring.
Basal Cell Carcinoma (BCC)
Summary
Basal Cell Carcinoma is the most common type of skin cancer and can be disfiguring and destructive. Basal Cell Carcinoma is eighty percent of all non-melanoma skin cancer.
Risk
The risk of BCC skin cancer is in the family history, which have diseases, or to people how have been exposed to ultraviolet light rays.
Treatment
Surgical treatment is a possibly if basal cell carcinoma is present. Chemotherapy is one of the most commonly heard of treatments but ED&C is the most commonly used. Sometimes the cancer is scraped out and the wound is the left to heal by itself

Squarmous Cell Carcinoma (SSC)
Squarmous Cell Carcinoma cancer is also found in the lungs and the esophagus; it also makes up twenty percent of all non-melanoma skin cancers. Squarmous Cell Carcinoma can be seen on the lips, inside the mouth, the throat, and the skin, if there is red, scaly skin that can become an open sore the risk of getting SCC skin cancer is high. Squarmous Cell Carcinoma has been known to kill more than twenty thousand people in the United States of America.

Malignant Melanoma
Malignant Melanoma skin cancer can also be found in the eye. Malignant Melanoma cancer is the worst of all three skin cancers.
Causes
Exposition to ultraviolet radiation is one of the main ones. Sunlight rays, might also do some damage, such as sunburn. On the legs of woman and the backs of men is sunburns mostly occur. Exposure to sun in early childhood is equal to a higher risk factor than exposure in adulthood. Fairer and redheaded people are more commonly to get Malignant Melanoma. Also blistering or peeling sunburns for people in their twenty’s.
How to prevent
Primary
Minimize exposure to the sun, sun beds, and ultraviolet rays. Wear longer sleeves, longer pants, and broad brimmed hats. The best way to prevent Malignant Melanoma skin cancer is to use sunscreen of thirty SPF or higher.
