Abstract What is Cancer? Our Skin Types of Cancer Prevention References

Our skin
Skin illustration - EpidermisThe skin is the largest organ in the human body and is made up from many different layers; the skin’s layers are epidermis, and the dermis layers. Epidermis layer is the upper or outer layer of the skin. Mostly the epidermis is made from flat scale like cells that are called squamous cells. Also in the epidermis there is the pigment of the skin or the melon. The secondary layer, the dermis is the lower or inner layer of the skin. The dermis haves blood vessels, lymph vessels, hair follicles, and glands that produce sweat, which helps control body heat, and sebum, an oily matter that helps keep the skin from drying out. The skin protects us from injuries from cuts chemicals. The skin is made up from two different layers and is re-growing all the time.
