1. Attach the spindles to the wooden board or cardboard using the nails.
2. Take the small cardboard box and tie two strings to the top and one to the bottom making your elevator car.
3. Number your spindles. Spindles 1, 2, 5, and 6 are at the top of the Plyboard and spindles 3 and 4 are at the bottom.
4. Pass the string from the bottom of the box 4, 3, and 2 (loop the string twice over spindle number 2) and tie it to the first string on the top of the box.
5. Pass the other string from the top of the box over spindles 5 and 6 and attach it to a counterweight of around 100 grams.
6. Turn spool 2 and the elevator should move up or down depending on the direction you turn it.
