Results Summary

The hockey unit did not improve the test scores at all. There was an overall decrease of 10 %, or ½ of a mark. The girls had an average of decrease of 22% , and the boys had an average increase of 5%. The volleyball unit increased the marks by 6% overall . The girls had an average increase of 27%, and the boys had an average increase of 3%. Of the Students who chose Playing Sports as their favourite activity on the leisure activities survey, there was an average decrease of 3% during the hockey unit, but during the volleyball unit there was an average increase of 20%. It is interesting to note that the one student who chose Drawing or Playing as his/her favourite activity did best on the tests with visual aids, such as graphs or pictures.
