Method

  1. First I cut 6 54cm squares each of polyester and nylon.
  2. Then I took the square table, turned it upside down and nailed the four pieces of wood to the table's legs.
  3. Next I took a square of polyester and nailed it onto the wood.
  4. Then I took the three pound weight and used a meter stick to measure 60cm above the fabric and dropped the weight repeatedly until it started to tear and completely ripped
  5. Then I recorded my results.
  6. Then i did it again two more times to get the results.
  7. I then repeated the above steps on nylon until they tore or ripped.
  8. Then I took the remaining six squares of the polyester and nylon and turned the oven on at 250 degrees Fahrenheit.
  9. Then I placed one sheet of nylon at a time in the oven on a tray and removed it after 1 minute.
  10. Then I dropped the weight from the same height again and recorded my results.
  11. Then I did it again two more times to get the results.
  12. I then repeated the above steps on the nylon until they tore or ripped.
  13. When I was done, I took all the pieces of cloth and see which material looks like it could have lasted longer-in other words see which one is in the best shape out of all of them and whether it was polyester or nylon and which one was stronger.
