Independent Variable:
Our independent variable in this experiment is the degree that we set
the slope (penstock).
Dependent Variable:
Our dependent variable is the amount of electricity that is produced.
Controlled Variables:
Some controlled variables are:
-
Use
all the same materials
-
The
right amount of water in the rubber-made so it is not touching the
turbine
-
Same person connecting the generator wire to the ohms-meter and the
same person reading the ohms-meter
-
Same person holding the hose at the top of the water runway so there
are no kinks in the hose
-
Ensure that the valve to control the water flow is always open the
same amount
-
Try to keep the
generator as dry as possible.
