Conclusions

In conclusion I learned that advertisements are really negative because they make people buy things that they don't need and they don't even notice that. I also learned that TV is really negative for children, that children should watch less TV, and that parents should help their children learn to screen their TV and make limits on how much they are allowed to watch. 

From the answers to my questionnaire I found out that people are usually easy to convince to buy certain things even though they don't admit it. It would be interesting to question more people and to add some more questions to the questionnaire. For example I could ask people to choose 30 items form their kitchen and bathroom, then I would ask them to count the ones that are advertised on TV. This would show me how many things people buy because they saw the ads. I could also find out if TV has the same effect on boys/men and girls/women, by tallying their answers separately and making more graphs.

By doing this research and website I learned many new things, such as making graphs, writing and evaluating questionnaires, calculating percentages, and of course I learned about the effects of TV on children and how to select good TV programs.

In the future I am planning to teach what I learned in schools and kindergartens so that as many people as possible  would know about how bad TV is. I am also going to do a study and question a lot more people so that my results will be clearer.
