Where have the polar bears gone?

If you travelled to the Arctic 100 years ago, it would be covered with polar bears. If you go there now, there will still be some polar bears but many of them have disappeared. The temperature is rising which causes the ice to melt quickly. Warm temperatures are disabling the polar bear from living its normal life. Its hunting habits are changed and its main source of food, the ringed seal, is harder to hunt. The 'breathing holes' for the seals have disappeared and polar bears rely on these holes to find their food.

Our problems:

Trees protect humans and animals from the greenhouse effect because they shade us and protect us from the sun's rays. The ozone layer also filters out the sun's harmful rays so if there is any damage in the ozone layer the sun's rays will be able to reach us.
