  1. Under the column labeled "Skills", identify psychological skills that you believe have some relation to performance for a specific area in your life.
  2. Under the column labeled "Importance", rate the importance of these skills on a scale of 1-10, 1 being not important and 10 being the very important.
  3. Under the column labeled "Goal", write down your goal of the extent of competence that you would like to accomplish on the same scale of 1-10.
  4. Under the column labeled "Current", rate your competence in each skill on a scale of 1-10, 1 being bad and 10 being excellent.
  5. Under the column labeled "Difference", input the result from "Goal" value minus "Current" value for each skill.
  6. To obtain the "Discrepancy" value, press "Calculate". The discrepancy value is the degree at which you need to improve each specific skill in accordance to your values and goals. The value ranges from 0-100. The higher a value is, the harder you will likely need to work in refining a skill.
