Our Mission |
What do you think of when you hear about and see colours? This project is a journey that will take you to further understanding about colours and their numerous effects on people and their brains, moods, and actions. Without colours, our world would be lifeless and very different, for nothing but a dull gray would carpet the earth. Think about it. A rainbow would just be a wisp of smoke. The sun would be nothing but a flash of blinding light, the sea but a swirling depth of mystery and confusion. Just like many things in our modern society, we sometimes take colours for granted, when we really should enjoy their benefits and fascinating impressions. In this mission, we will describe how colours affect the brain and mood, explain how we use them in daily life, cover the colour theory, go over colours in different cultures, and finally, complete a mini expiriment. Enjoy! We hope you learn plenty about the wondrous world of colours.

Colour Blindness
Although colour blindness is not a common syndrome among people, it is still possible for them to recognize green as red, or yellow as blue (or vice versa.) It is quite unusual for anyone to be blind to all colours. Most animals such as cats, dogs, and other wild four-footed animals, do not perceive colours. Only creatures such as birds, bees, and butterflies do. When a bull charges a bullfighter, it is not because it sees red and is angered, but because of the movement of the cape. Red appears as grey in the bull's eyes.
This is only one of the many interesting facts about colour.
