Fats are greasy, solid material found in animal tissue and in some plants such as coconut oil, sunflower oil, Nuts to name a few.

FAT, also called as Lipid, is a important source of energy for human body, besides protein and Carbohydrate.
Energy produced by fat is 9 calories per gram
whereas energy produced by protein and carbohydrate is 4 calories per gram.
Therefore, fat has more caloric value.
Some FATs stay solid at room temperature (e.g.butter) where as some stay liquid (e.g. oils).
I conducted an experiment to see if certain food items have FAT in it.
