Cleaning product’s ingredients are considered “Trade Secrets” so manufactures are not required to list all of them on the ingredients, so we don't know what chemicals are in there that could be harmful.

Detergents are produced in bars, flakes, grains, liquids and tablets.  Bars and flakes are the most dangerous.

Doing laundry burns thousands of barrels of oil and sends millions of pounds of chlorine into our air and water each year.

There is another toxic chemical in some detergents used by dry cleaners called Perc.  Perc doesn’t really effect the environment but it affects human’s causes nausea, dizziness and fainting.

Foam in rivers and lakes is another problem we blame on detergents.
