Radiation Sickness

One can have radiation sickness when too much radiation is absorbed into the body. Radiation can be easily absorbed when one comes in contact with gamma, beta, x-ray or neutron radiation because all these types can easily penetrate the skin. Symptoms of radiation sickness may include slow healing, burns, cancer, and sterilization. Mutations can occur in the DNA and because the DNA can be passed down to offspring, the offspring could end up with dangerous abnormalities or be unable to survive.
